Easier to find, and clearer about what Wavro actually costs

04/08/2026

A search-focused release. The site now tells Google what it is - "hospitality rota software" in the page titles rather than only the slogan - and the structured data it hands search engines quotes the real £9.90 plan instead of a leftover £0. The FAQs on the home and pricing pages were rewritten into full answers covering what a rota app costs in the UK, whether you pay per user, how clocking in works, and how bank holidays and 12.07% holiday accrual are handled. Every release note is now listed in the sitemap, and the site is verified in Google Search Console.

Highlights

  • The site says what it is - page titles led with the slogan alone, which matched nobody's search. The home page is now "Hospitality Rota Software UK", pricing carries the £9.90 starting price, and the demo is described as a sample UK hospitality week. The slogan stays as the headline.
  • The price search engines see is the price you pay - the structured data handed to Google still advertised £0 from an early free-trial build, contradicting the pricing page. It now reads the same plan the billing screen does: £9.90 a month for up to 10 people, then £1.50 each, 14-day trial.
  • Longer, straighter FAQ answers - the home and pricing FAQs were one line each. They now answer the questions people actually ask before switching: what a rota app for a small UK restaurant needs to do, how much rota software costs in the UK, whether you pay per user, how clocking in ties back to the scheduled shift, and how bank holiday rates and 12.07% holiday accrual work.
  • Release notes are discoverable - every entry on the What's new page is now listed in the sitemap with its real publication date, and each one has its own title and share preview.
  • Verified in Search Console - the site now proves ownership to Google, so indexing and coverage can be tracked.

Changes

Features

  • feat(marketing): page titles, hero copy and section intros lead with the rota-software wording on the home, pricing, demo and changelog pages; each release note gets its own title, description and share preview.
  • feat(marketing): expanded FAQ answers on the home and pricing pages, which also feed the FAQ structured data.

Fixes

  • fix(seo): the SoftwareApplication structured data quotes the live plan price and marks the United Kingdom as the area served, instead of advertising £0.
  • fix(seo): the sitemap lists every release note and drops the retired /product URL, which only redirected; the crawl rules allow the whole public site rather than a partial list, with the signed-in areas and the API still excluded.
  • fix(marketing): the footer's Features link went through a redirect; it now points straight at the landing page.

Maintenance

  • chore(seo): Google Search Console ownership verification, and the site is declared as British English.
