Wavro has a blog
There is now a blog at wavroapp.com/blog, with practical guides on rotas, labour cost and UK working time rules, sorted by trade. The first two pieces cover the four rest and rota rules every small team has to follow, and how to read your café labour cost percentage properly. New guides land every week from here.

A faster front door, and a Wavro icon in your tab
Most of this release is underneath the floorboards. Every public page - the homepage, pricing, the demo and the release notes - was being rebuilt from scratch for each visitor, because the server was checking who was asking before it drew a single pixel. It no longer needs to, so those pages are now served ready-made and land noticeably faster. Along the way Wavro finally has a proper icon in the browser tab, and the app sends the security headers a business tool is expected to send.

Company costs, in two tabs
The Company costs page had grown into one long column - eight figures, a trend chart, two analysis panels and a paginated ledger, all stacked. The date range and the headline figures stay where they are, since they scope and answer the question the page exists for. Everything below now splits in two, so the analysis and the ledger it is built from each get the screen to themselves.

The trend chart really does fill its card now
Yesterday's fix for the narrow trend chart did not take. It measured the space available in a way that only ever ran before the chart existed, so the measurement came back as nothing and the chart carried on drawing at a fixed width, centred, with the same empty margin either side. It measures at the right moment now, and waits for a real measurement before drawing anything.

A trend chart that uses the whole card
The Company costs trend chart drew at a fixed width and sat centred in its card, leaving a wide empty margin on larger screens. It now measures the space it has and fills it. On a phone, the six metric buttons were wrapping to three rows above the chart; they move into the same bottom sheet the date range already uses, with the metric currently plotted shown on the button.

The trend chart actually draws now
The Company costs trend chart never plotted anything. Its endpoint had been failing on every request since the chart shipped, and the page quietly fell back to an empty state that read as "no data yet" rather than "this is broken". The query is fixed, and the empty state now says which figure is missing instead of leaving you at a dead end. The changelog page also stops listing two same-day releases in the wrong order.

Your trade's numbers, not ours
The benchmarks Company costs measures you against are no longer fixed to café figures. Pick the trade closest to your business - restaurant, pub and bar, gym and studio, salon and barber, or café - and move any band to your own numbers. Where a trade has no published figure for a metric, the band is deliberately left blank rather than invented. Insights stops hiding the rest of the week, so Scheduled now shows the plan you actually built, with the variance still measured against the part that has finished. Both pages gained a Yesterday period, and the Company costs trend chart moved up under the date filter.

Where every pound goes, and a wider front door
Company costs stops being a list of totals and starts being a comparison. Classify a cost category as cost of goods, rent, utilities, marketing or agency labour and the page works out prime cost, gross profit and sales per labour hour, puts each one against the band UK cafés are actually held to, and plots it over time. Insights no longer waits on approval to count work that has already happened - the number now splits into approved, pending and live. The six switch-from comparison pages quote every rival price in sterling and drop payroll claims Wavro never made. And the site itself stops calling Wavro hospitality software, because gyms, salons, clinics, shops and cleaning crews run the same weekly rota.

Insights that move with the shift, five more price comparisons
Insights used to sit at zero until a shift was clocked out and approved, so a week that had just started looked empty even with staff on the clock. It now credits scheduled and actual hours as an in-progress shift runs. The admin dashboard header lost a redundant "signed in as" line that was cramping the layout at some widths. Four more competitor comparison pages join Skello's - Sling, Homebase, When I Work, Deputy and 7shifts - each priced from the competitor's own public pricing page.

The right day, the right numbers, a tidier phone
Staff and managers viewing the rota on a phone or device set to a different timezone than the company were sometimes shown yesterday's shifts instead of today's - that's fixed everywhere the app shows a day or week. Insights now compares the plan against what payroll actually approved rather than a plan the approval had already overwritten, and defaults to approved-only figures. The phone rota gained a per-area "add shift" button and lost a floating button the bottom nav was covering. The phone hamburger menu no longer repeats the navigation already in the bottom tab bar. A new page compares Wavro's published price against Skello's.

Easier to find, and clearer about what Wavro actually costs
A search-focused release. The site now tells Google what it is - "hospitality rota software" in the page titles rather than only the slogan - and the structured data it hands search engines quotes the real £9.90 plan instead of a leftover £0. The FAQs on the home and pricing pages were rewritten into full answers covering what a rota app costs in the UK, whether you pay per user, how clocking in works, and how bank holidays and 12.07% holiday accrual are handled. Every release note is now listed in the sitemap, and the site is verified in Google Search Console.

Numbers you can trust, notifications that actually arrive, and a phone layout that fits
Insights was comparing a whole week of rota against the hours clocked so far, so a Tuesday always looked like an underspend - it now compares like with like, prices past shifts at what they were actually paid, and says out loud when open shifts are not counted. Shift reminders no longer depend on a manager having the app open, a failed notification is retried instead of vanishing, and you can turn off the duplicate email. Timesheets and Insights become card lists on a phone, with a tab bar at the bottom and filters behind one button.

An app-like phone experience, costs grouped by category, and WhatsApp support
On a phone the header now stays put while the page scrolls, and everything that is not the current page - section navigation, notifications, profile and sign-out - lives behind a single menu button. Costs and income can be filtered and totalled by category and exported to CSV, staff see "Approved" once their timesheet is signed off, and you can now reach us on WhatsApp.

Spread a cost across days, export timesheets to CSV, and the real company details on every legal page
One-off costs and income can now be spread over the days they actually cover, and monthly lines are pro-rated across their own month, so a weekly report only counts the part that falls inside it. Timesheets export to CSV in one click, the staff week heading shows its week number, employees no longer carry an area, and the terms, privacy notice and DPA now carry the registered company details.

Company costs, profile pictures everywhere, and a Back button that stays in the app
A new Company costs screen turns the labour view into a profit view with your own cost and income categories, profile pictures now show on every staff avatar across the app, Back no longer walks out of the app on web or Android, areas are optional so a brand-new company can add its first employee, and the billing page finally quotes the real price.

Managers can clock in, timesheet pagination, and live on-shift status
Managers who also work shifts can now clock in from a new header view switch, the timesheets list is paginated with a choice of page size, approved timesheets can be edited back into approval, the rota shows a live On Shift status with real clock times, and unpaid breaks are floored at the scheduled break.

24-hour clock, manual holiday adjustments, and a new logo mark
Shift and timesheet times now show in 24-hour format, admins can manually adjust an employee's accrued holiday, the rota groups shifts by their own area instead of the assignee's, and the header/favicon pick up the new logo-icon mark.

Archive staff safely, import from Deputy, and a fresh new look
Removing a staff member now archives them and keeps every shift and timesheet, you can import an existing rota straight from a Deputy CSV, managers set holiday hours directly, clock-ins can confirm you're on-site, and the site and brand got a refresh.
