Highlights
- Company costs now tells you whether the number is good - a labour figure of 34% means nothing on its own; it is comfortable for a counter-service site and tight for one with a kitchen. Tag each cost category with what it actually is and the page computes prime cost, gross profit, rent percentage and sales per labour hour, then shows each against the published band with a plain verdict. Three new views sit above the entry list: a single bar showing where every pound taken actually went, the benchmark panel, and a trend chart that plots one metric at a time against its band.
- Monthly costs no longer spike one week a month - rent, insurance and any other monthly entry are apportioned across the days they cover before the trend is bucketed, so a weekly view compares like with like instead of showing one catastrophic week every month.
- Blank rather than flattering - until at least one category is tagged as cost of goods, gross profit and prime cost stay empty and say why. Defaulting them to zero would have rendered gross profit as 100%.
- Insights counts work that has happened - actual cost waited on approval, so a live week read as a collapse until a manager caught up. It now credits in-progress and pending work too, and shows the split - approved, waiting on you, still running - per KPI and per employee, so the total is never a mystery.
- Comparison pages, in one currency - the six
/switch-from-*pages quoted some rivals in euros and asked the reader to do the conversion. Every price is now shown in sterling. Payroll lines are gone: Wavro does not ship payroll, and listing a competitor's payroll add-on implied otherwise. - Not just hospitality - Wavro was sold as rota software for cafés, bars and restaurants, which was turning away every other business that runs the same weekly rota. The site now leads with shift work generally - gyms and studios, salons and barbers, clinics and care teams, shops, cleaning crews - with hospitality kept as an example rather than the whole audience. "Venue" is "location" throughout.
Changes
Features
- feat(company-costs): cost categories can be classified as cost of goods, rent, utilities, marketing or agency labour, unlocking prime cost, gross profit, rent percentage and sales per labour hour alongside labour percentage.
- feat(company-costs): new "where the money goes" bar, benchmark panel with per-metric verdicts, and a trend chart plotting one metric against its published band by day, week or month.
- feat(company-costs): the CSV export gained a "Benchmark type" column.
- feat(insights): actual labour now credits in-progress and pending work as well as approved timesheets, with the approved / pending / live split shown per KPI and per employee.
Fixes
- fix(marketing): every competitor price on the
/switch-from-*pages is converted to sterling at display time instead of being quoted in its own currency. - fix(marketing): removed payroll comparison rows - Wavro does not ship payroll.
Maintenance
- refactor(marketing): marketing copy, structured data, FAQ answers and the industry list reposition Wavro from hospitality-only to any UK business that runs shifts; "venue" becomes "location" throughout.
