Archive staff safely, import from Deputy, and a fresh new look

01/07/2026

Removing a staff member now archives them and keeps every shift and timesheet, you can import an existing rota straight from a Deputy CSV, managers set holiday hours directly, clock-ins can confirm you're on-site, and the site and brand got a refresh.

Highlights

  • Never lose staff history - removing someone now archives them: they drop off the active roster but keep every shift, clock-in and timesheet, and you can restore them any time. The staff list gains Active / Archived / All filters.
  • Import from Deputy - upload a Deputy CSV to bring an entire published rota, its people and pay rates into Wavro in one step.
  • Manager-set holiday - admins manage holiday hours directly from Staff, and the balance updates automatically.
  • On-site clock-in - an optional approximate location check confirms staff are at the venue when they clock in and out.
  • A fresh look - a redesigned landing page with an interactive rota you can drag between days, a live "who's on" panel, an inline pricing calculator, and a refreshed logo and app icons.

Changes

Features

  • feat(employees): staff are archived instead of deleted, preserving all shift and timesheet history; email is now optional for imported staff.
  • feat(rota-import): import an existing schedule from a Deputy CSV export.
  • feat(holidays): admin-managed holiday hours (staff-submitted holiday requests are removed for now).
  • feat(clock): optional approximate location check on clock-in and clock-out.
  • feat(rota): the week header shows the ISO week number, and copying a week keeps each shift in its area.
  • feat(company): focus on a single company for launch (multi-company groups are temporarily parked behind a flag).
  • feat(marketing): refreshed landing, pricing and feature sections, with an interactive rota hero, a live activity panel and an inline pricing calculator.
  • feat(brand): refreshed Wavro logo mark and app icons across the header, auth pages, favicon and PWA.
  • feat(release): release notes are now emailed automatically when a version ships.

Fixes

  • fix(ui): back navigation uses real browser history, so it no longer lands on error pages.
  • fix(ui): the header shows the transparent logo mark alongside the wordmark.
  • fix(marketing): the landing rota demo uses generic staff names.
